The AVIS Consortium, together with the European Commission’s DG MOVE, invites you to the second AVIS workshop on Wednesday, 15 October 2025, starting at 09:30 CET. The event will take place in a hybrid format, allowing participants to join in person at DG MOVE’s premises in Brussels or online.
The workshop will provide an opportunity to exchange views with peers, authorities, and technology developers on the role of EU Space data in inland waterways automation. We will also present the progress achieved so far, including operational scenarios, user requirements, and key insights from our research.
For those not yet familiar with the AVIS project: it aims to enhance navigation for autonomous inland waterways vessels using E-GNSS and Copernicus data, supporting innovative applications and contributing to a more sustainable and less polluting transport system.
