15/10/2025: Second AVIS Workshop: Save the Date!
On the 15th of October, the second AVIS workshop will take place!
During the interactive online workshop, the AVIS consortium will present the current status and outcomes of the project followed by open discussions on autonomous vessels, sustainability, and the role of EU Space data. The workshop is open to anyone so we invite everyone from the IWW ecosystem that is interested in to participate.
This workshop will be a hybrid workshop from Brussels.

31/10/2024: AVIS Workshop: Exploring the Future of Automated Vessels on European Inland Waterways 🚢
On October 31, we hosted our first AVIS Workshop—an engaging and interactive online session dedicated to advancing automated vessel technology on European inland waterways.
During the workshop, the AVIS consortium presented significant progress made throughout the project and shared valuable insights gained along the way. With over 40 participants, we had productive discussions on key topics, including operational scenarios in inland waterway navigation, specific requirements for automated vessels in Europe, and the current challenges facing the sector.
