Second AVIS Workshop: A Great Success

The second AVIS workshop took place on October 15th, both in Brussels and online. The event was a real success, with nearly 40 people attending to learn about the AVIS project’s progress and share their insights.

Thanks to several interactive moments, participants were able to express their views on different parts of the project. All comments are being carefully considered by the consortium, as they will help make the AVIS outcomes even stronger and more relevant.

The workshop covered several key topics of the AVIS project, including the technical approach, the pilots’ plan, the safety case, but also the standardisation and future activities.

A big thank-you to everyone who attended the workshop and contributed to its success. We look forward to seeing you again at the third AVIS workshop.

What’s next for AVIS?

At the end of November, the AVIS consortium will meet again for the second Intermediate Report Meeting (IRM2). This meeting will be an opportunity to review the progress achieved in the various work packages and discuss the next steps, including the exciting launch of the pilots.

This marks an important milestone in the implementation of EU space data in autonomous navigation on inland waterways!
